About Me

Hi I'm Ryan Felton, a NASA Postdoctoral Management Fellow (NPMP) at NASA Ames Research Center in sunny Mountain View California. I study the search for life by focusing on: biosignatures, technosignatures, Titan and Titan-like exoplanets. I use photochemical modeling and simulated spectra to build terrestrial atmospheres that can then be analyzed to identify or rule out potential conditions for life. As an NPMP I am spearheading an initative for the astrobiology community to improve the usage and understanding of AI/ML.
When I'm not looking for little green men, I'm playing the guitar, dancing salsa, catching some waves in the Pacific, cooking up a new dessert, or exploring the West Coast. I am also the lead and host for the West Los Angeles Astronomy on Tap satellite! If you're ever in the LA area and interested in giving a talk let me know! Education:
